    You receive a personal website with your own web address. Your advertisements thus appear on a page with a unique URL.

  • How do I publish my advertisement in several languages?

    Your advertisement is automatically translated into 3 languages (except for the headings “title”, “in brief” and “in the vicinity”). We advise you to translate these headings yourself and then add them to your description by clicking on the +s in step 3 of "Place an advertisement".
    You can also have your advertisement translated via the professional translation service of Holidayweb (cost per language: 15 EUR).

  • What is a good photo?

    The conditions for a good photo: they must be in the .jpeg format and take up less than 500 kB of memory. We advise you to choose photos of 400x400 pixels, but this is not obligatory.

  • How to optimize my ad with the title?

    The title of your ad will drive its research on search engines. It is therefore imperative that you indicate the type of property, its geolocalization and the word "holiday" or "rental"
    Example: "Holiday in the Var" or "studio rental in Quiberon", and potential tenants will find you more easily.

  • Optimize the geolocation of my property

    Warning: when you specify the address of your property in the passage of the add, do not specify localities or small paths or dead ends (eg "Hamlet" or "Les Hauts de ..." or your house will not be well geolocated on Google Map. If your property has no specific address, enter the address nearest you and make sure that your property is properly localized the map.

  • I received an odd request for a reservation, do I respond?

    Beware of frauds on the net!

    Be very cautious if the request comes from people living far away and asking you a long book, no questions asked. Usually, the contact number is in Ivory Coast, the United States or Canada. Feel free to type the email addresses of suspicious reservations and you may find the explanation of the scam on the net. These scams come in various forms. As soon as you ask more specific questions to the applicant, it shirk if it is a scam. Do NOT send money to anyone. For more informations about trickery click here.

  • What rental periods and –prices can I indicate for my advertisement?

    Holidayweb.be offers you the possibility to include a day price in your advertisement.
    In addition, you also have the possibility to rent your holiday opportunity on a daily basis, weekly basis or during the weekends.

    All of this will be clearly visible on a calendar which presents the availabilities for your holiday residence. So don´t forget to indicate the periods when your building is not available. If you do not indicate the availability of your holiday residence in your calendar, this will also not appear in the search results.

  • How can I update my calendar and rates?

    You can update the availability of your residence and your rents via My Holidayweb > My advertisements. The rates must be filled in on a day basis (even if you rent for a longer period).

    With each update your advertisement appears:
    - at the top of the search results of the visitors;
    - at the top of the "last added" heading on the homepage.

    Note carefully: each available period must be expressly filled in as available. Only filling in those periods which are fully occupied is not enough. If the availability is incorrectly indicated in the calendar, your holiday residence will not be displayed in the search results.

    Visitors are not only looking for advertisements of holiday residences with photos; they also want to know the most recent information (availability, prices, etc.).
    Therefore adapt your availability schedule regularly. And don´t forget that renters can see the date on which the advertisement was last updated.

  • Can I also put promotional prices in my calendar?

    Calendar & tariffs

    No, for the moment it is not possible to enter special promotional rates for your advertisement.
    For last-minutes, however, you can select the Last-Minute ´theme´ when entering your residence details. In this way, your holiday residence appears in the search results of Last-minute holidays. You can also mention special rates in the free text field of Rates and Availability.

  • What do I do with potential renters who contact me for periods that are already fully occupied?

    We advise you to always keep your calendar up-to-date with the availability of your holiday residence. In this way you avoid wasting anyone´s time.

  • What do I have to do after a first contact by e-mail?

    Calendar & tariffs

    We advise you to always ask for the telephone number of the renter and then contact him by telephone. E-mails do not always end up in the right place, or are not always checked on a regular basis. Moreover, by telephone it is easier to learn just how motivated the renter is, and also to answer any questions immediately. In this way you develop a relationship of trust with the renter much more quickly.

    Holidayrealestate is now on Facebook as a product - and some ads will appear regularly with descriptions and photos. Feedback from holidaymakers can be published. These same ads appear on Twitter. If you're on Facebook, do not forget to click "like" on our homepage and at the top right on the ads that you like.

  • How can I change my personal data or e-mail address?

    You can change the following data:
    - your e-mail address;
    - your telephone number;
    - adapt the information which you wish to make visible for visitors (name, e-mail, telephone).
    You can perform all these modifications yourself online in step 2 of “Place an advertisement”.

  • How do I change my advertisement?

    You can change your advertisement at any time in My Holidayweb. To do so, click on "Change advertisement".
    Attention: you cannot change the location of your residence! If you want to offer another residence, you will have to place a new advertisement.
    Please do not send your changes by e-mail, but make them directly online in My Holiday-realestate.

  • How do I adapt the address of my advertisement?

    The address of your holiday residence can only be changed by the administration of Holidayweb.be. Simply send us an e-mail to info@vacancesweb.be with your request.
    Note carefully : the address of your holiday residence cannot be entirely changed. If you want to register a new residence, you must prepare a new advertisement.

  • How do I change the price which is shown in my advertisement?

    The price contained in the summary of your advertisement is the day price which you entered when placing an advertisement.
    You can always adapt your day price in My Vakantieweb > My Advertisements.

    The price only serves as an indication for the renter. All further price agreements, as well as the payment of the holiday residence, take place directly with the potential renter.

    Only day prices are displayed on vakantieweb.be. If you rent your residence out for a longer period, Vakantieweb.be itself makes the calculation on the basis of the arrival and departure dates which are entered by the renter.

  • Can I add/remove photos?

    My advertisements

    Through "My Holidayweb", you can at any time upload or remove photos for all your advertisements. Holidayweb reserves the right not to publish blurry photos, insufficient resolution, tagged, having written or figures affixed to the picture, with characters appearing in photographs or pictures representing a threat to public order and morality. The advertiser will be notified of such withdrawal and instructed to replace them, otherwise the ad will appear without a photo, which is of course damaging to the visibility of said ad.

  • How do I renew my advertisement ?

    In order to extend your publication period, you open My Holidayweb. Then you click (for the desired advertisement) on the link "extend advertisement". Then simply follow the procedure.

  • How do I receive advertisements by e-mail?

    My searches

    Perform a search request. Then you click in the page with the search results on "E-mail report of this search request received". Then simply follow the steps which appear on the screen. This service is entirely free of charge.

  • What happens if the payment is not successful?

    Payment

    You receive a report that your payment was not successful. You can then try to make the payment once again. As soon as we have a confirmation of payment, your advertisement is published on the website. We still haven´t received payment after 3 days? Then your ad is automatically removed from the site.

    Should you experience problems with the electronic payment, you can always contact one of our staff at the number 03/808.28.28.
    Do you want to pay by cheque? Then you can also telephone our customer service department.

    In step 5 of placing an advertisement, you can pay by credit card on the protected payment pages of Ogone.
    We accept Visa, Mastercard, Maestro and American Express.
    For other payment methods (as bank transfers and payments by cheque, please contact our customer service.

  • What is the print option?

    Print option

    The print option allows customers who have an active listing on Vacancesweb to publish it in a special Holidays supplement published by two of the largest Belgian daily La Libre Belgique and Dernière Heure les Sports (621,000 readers) at a bargain price: € 39 for two issues. This option is available the passage of ads or additionally in Myholidayrealestate.

  • Real estate agents can advertise on Holida-realestate.be ?

    Yes, real estate agencies can have ads on Holiday-realestate.be. They will receive special rates (packages depending on the number of ads). If a lot of ads has to be published, an XML flow is available to facilitate the management of all ads. Please contact us for more information.

  • Why must I register on Holidayweb?

    Registering offers you access to a wide range of free services:
    - saving your search criteria
    - saving a holiday residence that interests you
    - report by e-mail as soon as a holiday residence meeting your criteria is placed on the site or changed
    - receipt of newsletters with tips and advice about renting, renting out, buying, selling, moving, financing and holiday-making in general.

    Your registration, and thus your personal data, falls under the privacy policy.

  • Why can´t I register?

    Check whether you filled in all the obligatory fields. Read the messages which appear on the screen and follow the instructions.
    Are you still receiving an error message? Then copy it into an e-mail, describe the nature of the problem, and send everything to info@vacancesweb.be.

  • Why do I always have to log in?

    Register / Log in

    When you log in to our website, you receive the message that the log in is successful, but subsequently you are asked to log in again. Click on "My Holidayweb" at the top of the page in order to check whether you are correctly logged in. If this is not the case, it means that your browser does not accept cookies.
    Holidayweb uses temporary internal cookies (cookies that are not saved) which make navigating our website easier.
    Does your system reject all cookies (including temporary ones)? In that case you can´t log in to Holidayweb, and therefore you have no access to your personal page and you can´t place advertisements.

    How to check the privacy settings of Internet Explorer:
    Choose the "Tools" menu entry "Internet Options".
    In onget "Privacy" choose the setting "Medium-high" or a lower level. Then click "OK".
    If you want to keep the setting "High", you must add the site authorized Vacancesweb sites. To do this you must click the "Sites" button, enter the address "www.vacancesweb.be" and click on "Allow". Then click "OK".

    If nothing happens when you click "Connect", check the security settings of Internet Explorer.
    Choose the "Tools" menu entry "Internet Options".
    In onget "Security" choose the setting "Medium-high" or a lower level. Then click "OK".

  • My password is always refused. How is that possible?

    You do not receive access to My Holidayweb:
    - if you have forgotten your password (possibly a typing error?);
    Send us an e-mail stating your e-mail address.
    - because of a technical problem.
    Inform us of the nature of your problem. If you receive an error message, copy it into the text of your e-mail and send everything to info@vacancesweb.be.

  • The telephone number or email address of the owner is not correct?

    It is altogether possible that the owner does not always strictly update his calendar. In this case, the best thing is to contact the owner directly via telephone or e-mail.

  • Where do I find the contact data of an owner?

    On the detail page of an advertisement you will find the contact information of the owner on the right side of the page. Don't see a telephone number there? This means that the owner wants to keep his number unknown. If no link to the contact form appears, then the owner does not want to be contacted by e-mail.

  • How can I contact the owner if he doesn´t answer my e-mail?

    Check whether the owner also listed a telephone number on the detail page of the advertisement, and then try to contact by telephone. You still haven´t received an answer to your message after a week? Then send an e-mail to info@vacancesweb.be. We will check whether the contact information is still correct.
